Argento Reserva Organic Malbec 2019
$24.99
This organic malbec comes from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, and Altamira. After a stainless ferment, it rested in French oak for 3 months. Ripe blackberry, wild blueberry, fills a juicy palate, framed with smoothed, pasty tannins. The finish is brief, and this carries its 14.5% alcohol easily. Best matched with pot pies or hearty stews.

The mission of Bodega Argento is to be a leader in sustainable viticulture in Argentina, taking care of natural and human resources while focusing on organic production to best express and preserve the character of each region and grape variety.
Initially established in 1999, Bodega Argento was sold to the industrialist Alejandro Bulgheroni in 2012. Alejandro’s ownership brought with it the respected enologist and consultant Alberto Antonini, and it is under his mentorship that Argento has become the biggest organic grower in Argentina.
Bodega Argento has achieved several quality certifications granted by different organisations (HCCP, ISO 22000) and is one of the few Argentinian wineries with the ‘canal verde’ (green channel) tag granted by the Argentinian Viticulture and Viniculture National Institute (INV).
The winemaking focus is on youthful wines with full-fruit expression, and the team is led by winemaker Juan Pablo Murgia with Alberto Antonini as consultant winemaker.
Malbec Wine

Malbec is a red wine grape variety that is originally from France. It is now primarily grown in Argentina, where it has become one of the country's most successful and recognizable exports. The grape produces a deep purple wine with dark fruit flavors, such as blackberry and plum, along with notes of spice and tobacco.
Malbec wines tend to be full-bodied with moderate acidity and medium to high tannins. They are often aged in oak barrels to give them a smooth, round texture and subtle vanilla or toast flavors. Malbec pairs well with red meats, particularly beef, and hearty, flavorful cheeses.
