Since 2006 Jed’s three Australian winemakers have been traveling to Argentina to produce wine from the same vineyard in southern Mendoza. Located in the southern tip of the Uco Valley, the vineyard was established in the 1880’s. Here in the foothills of the Andes, a glacial valley has deposited limestone and granite, making for super attractive soils. The southern locality and high elevation result in a cooler climate, yielding bright and crunchy wines. The vineyard has a sustainable certification and is managed with a constant quest to improve quality, with comprehensive soil mapping and current replanting with superior root-stocks and clones. In more recent years, the trio have explored different vineyards and sub-regions in Mendoza, such as the certified biodynamic vineyard in the south of Lujan de Cuyo planted on virgin ground and owned by long-time friend Andrej Razumovsky.
Malbec Wine

Malbec is a red wine grape variety that is originally from France. It is now primarily grown in Argentina, where it has become one of the country's most successful and recognizable exports. The grape produces a deep purple wine with dark fruit flavors, such as blackberry and plum, along with notes of spice and tobacco.
Malbec wines tend to be full-bodied with moderate acidity and medium to high tannins. They are often aged in oak barrels to give them a smooth, round texture and subtle vanilla or toast flavors. Malbec pairs well with red meats, particularly beef, and hearty, flavorful cheeses.
