“Work and perseverance” is the motto that has guided Felipe Rutini from the onset and that epitomizes the evolution of his wines until they became synonymous with the highest quality. Following its innovative spirit, by 1925 the winery began planting vineyards in the Uco Valley in Argentina. Ever since, the region has been consolidated as one of the main winemaking centers of Mendoza, Argentina’s wine capital. During the 90’s the original facilities of La Rural in Coquimbito underwent complete renovation, incorporating state-of-the-art technology to the 19th century structure. In the Wine Museum, located on the same site, visitors learn about the origin of Don Felipe Rutini’s wine production and see the evolution of traditional techniques and work mechanisms. In line with the heritage of excellence of its founder, in 2008, the Rutini Wines Plant in Tupungato began construction. These farms cover more than 400 acres at an altitude between 1,050 and 1,200 meters above sea level. Another 120 hectares of fields in vines were later added to expand the production of unique wines, created since its origin with the upmost care and enhanced in all the 5 basic components of winemaking from harvesting to bottling.

Malbec is a red wine grape variety that is originally from France. It is now primarily grown in Argentina, where it has become one of the country's most successful and recognizable exports. The grape produces a deep purple wine with dark fruit flavors, such as blackberry and plum, along with notes of spice and tobacco.
Malbec wines tend to be full-bodied with moderate acidity and medium to high tannins. They are often aged in oak barrels to give them a smooth, round texture and subtle vanilla or toast flavors. Malbec pairs well with red meats, particularly beef, and hearty, flavorful cheeses.
